Air Tahiti Nui Ramping Up Service

Air Tahiti Nui is launching non-stop service between Papeete, Tahiti (PPT) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) beginning Oct. 4 using its Boeing 787-9 Tahitian Dreamliner.

The twice-weekly route will operate from Papeete on Tuesday and Saturday, returning from Seattle on Wednesday and Sunday.

Mathieu Bechonnet, Air Tahiti Nui Managing Director, said: “North America is a key market for our destination. When we decided to open a second gateway on the West Coast, Seattle was a natural answer for us. I would like to thank our partners at Alaska Airlines and the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport for their warm welcome and support in making this happen.”

Air Tahiti Nui has partnered with Alaska Airlines for this new route, connecting the city of Seattle to the Islands of Tahiti, as part of a strategic development that offers the “Tiare” company enhanced access to the North American market, in particular the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia.

Alaska Airlines’ customers will be able to earn or use their Mileage Plan miles when traveling with Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti Nui’s customers will be able to use their Club Tiare miles on Alaska Airlines’ network.

Travellers arriving at SEA from Tahiti will enjoy the soon-to-open new International Arrivals Facility, the most complex capital development project in the history of SEA airport. The IAF will dramatically improve connection time, efficiency, and service to millions of annual international travellers.
