Albion Journeys Enters the Canadian Market

Cruise Strategies Ltd. has introduced Albion Journeys, a division of the JG Travel Group based in Cheltenham, England, to the Canadian market.

Albion Journeys’ fully escorted Heritage Tours of Great Britain and Ireland have been created specifically for travellers from Canada and the US with most ranging from eight to 10 days. According to officials, the carefully crafted itineraries delve deeply into Britain and Ireland’s heritage. Albion is partnered with key organizations, including the National Trust of England, Wales and Northern Ireland and the Historic Houses Association. These partnerships allow privileged access to a host of properties with “behind the scenes” experiences and even insights from the owners of the properties themselves.

“The tours are of excellent quality, diverse, well priced and perfectly positioned for the heritage buff clients of our retail partners,” said Vanessa Lee, president and CEO of Cruise Strategies Ltd. “This is a ‘best kept secret’ that you should be aware of.”

Susan Lethbridge, Albion’s business development director for Canada and the US, noted, “Albion’s tours are ideal for affinity groups, given the variety of themes including art and architecture, literature, royalty, gardens and regions of outstanding natural beauty. “They can all be customized to meet the needs of a specific group.”

Some of the company’s most popular tours include: Chelsea Flower Show & Hidden London (May 2018); England’s Finest Cathedrals (June 2018); Edinburgh, Glasgow & the Scottish Highlands & Islands (Sept. 2018); Poldark Country & the West (Sept. 2018); Shakespeare Country & the Cotswolds (Sept. 2018); The Bronte’s & Literary Classics of Yorkshire (planned for 2019); Queen Victoria 200: Regal Splendor & Island Getaway (planned for 2019); Glorious Gardens & Grandeur of North Wales (planned for 2019).

Most Albion tours include an engaging and informative after-dinner talk by an expert in their field. Tour groups range from 10 to 30 travellers and Albion offers a certain number of rooms with no single supplement. All tours include breakfast and some lunches and dinners depending on the itinerary, with ample free time for guests to explore and make their own plans as well.

Albion’s brochure will be available in January upon request, and will include new 2019 programs available for booking.
