Alpina Gstaad joins Preferred Boutique collection

Switzerland’s Alpina Gstaad, the newest five-star hotel to open in the Swiss Alpine village in 100 years, has been accepted as a member of Preferred Boutique, an elite collection of intimate hotels and resorts and a brand of Preferred Hotel Group. Unique by design, the Preferred Boutique collection of hotels and resorts “celebrates distinctive travel experiences that showcase style, service and personality on an intimate scale.”Set on two hectares in the exclusive hilltop area of Oberbort, The Alpina Gstaad overlooks the village, which is nestled in Saanenland in the heart of the Bernese Alps. Part of a $337 million luxury development, The Alpina Gstaad will have three restaurants featuring traditional Swiss, international and Asian cuisines, a bar and lounge, a wine-tasting room, a private cinema, a cigar room, a ballroom and several boardrooms. The 1,935-square-metre spa will offer holistic treatments and rejuvenation programs and will include a hammam, a fitness centre and a 25-metre lap pool. A large outdoor swimming pool will be set in the gardens.
