Always Something Surprising

The Canadian director for India Tourism says a visit to his homeland will never be mundane.

Anil Oraw told a Feb. 23 Toronto gathering that, “there’s something surprising always” in his homeland, with the country’s disparate jurisdictions including the southern state of Kerala, a particularly green place that Oraw labeled “God’s own country.”

Those visiting the northeastern city of Darjeeling can in turn see the lofty Himalayas, with one Darjeeling vantage point providing views of Mount Everest on a clear day.

Oraw added that “India is called the Land of the Tiger,” with sightings of the large predators possible in national parks.

Visitors can also find lots of festivals and Oraw added that “yoga is everywhere,” unsurprising given that “the mother of yoga is India.”

The event was co-hosted by TourRadar (http://www.tourradar.com) , which goes by the slogan “booking tours made easy.”

A TourRadar staffer told the audience that TourRadar is “making the booking process seamless and easy.”
