Anderson unveils Journeys product line


Anderson Vacations has introduced its newest line of product, Anderson Vacations Journeys, in its recently released 2014 escorted touring catalogue, the first of two brochure installments to be unveiled in 2014.

The new product, marked as having “Journey benefits,” are experiential explorer programs featuring “bucket list destinations and top notch service and amenities, such as home pick up and exclusive access to people and places that really enhance the traveller’s experience of the destination.” A new feature on these tours is a 50% discount off the single supplement for the first four singles to book.

“We want to try to make things easier for the single traveller,” says Dawn Rueckl, Anderson Vacations new general manager. “Yes, of course they understand why it costs so much more with only one person in a hotel room, but it still stings. We recognize that the demand for more single-friendly travel is there, and we know that group travel is a fantastic option because of the great social opportunities that come with travelling with a group of like-minded people.”

Anderson Vacation’s 20th anniversary is being celebrated throughout 2014 and with this milestone came an opportunity for change.

“Group travel is evolving in such an exciting way,” added Rueckl. “With the right local partners, travellers can experience a destination and its history in an authentic way and come away feeling like you really know about the people who live and work and play in the destination.”

Some examples of the Journeys product include a comprehensive tour of Ireland, a rail journey coast to coast across Canada with stops and touring in cities en route, and a locally guided tour of New Orleans and its surrounding plantation and Cajun country.
