This year marked Anderson Vacations’ fourth annual “Canada Day Window Display Contest”in which travel agents were invited to get creative and show their Canadian pride through their retail window displays. And, after reviewing many fabulous photographic entries, this year’s winner has been announced — CanWest Travel from Red Deer, Alberta. The agency has won a lunch with their Anderson Vacations’ specialist Adam Brown. CanWest chose a wide array of pieces representing Canada from coast to coast, including an authentic lobster trap, hand painted postcards from Prince Edward Island, Anne of Green Gables figurines, a lighthouse, a replica of the Bluenose ship, the Canada Chicken Soup for the Soul book, a variety of colourful maritime houses, a stuffed polar bear toy and three cubs, a Yukon picture book, seal carving, cowboy hat and boots, a straw bale, Buffalo art, a stuffed moose, snow shoes, a totem pole, a dream catcher, bottled maple syrup, Canada Goose and Snowy Owl figurines, and, of course, a variety of Anderson posters and Anderson Canada brochures. Final touches Canada paper lanterns, the Canadian flag and Canadian napkins covering boxes and props and the Anderson poster pillar. (http://www.canadatravelsolution.com)
