Another First For Vision Travel

Vision Travel has announced the Canadian launch of the CSI globalVCard – the latest in innovative technology designed to support corporate travel managers across the country through single-use electronic payment. This leading-edge product will be available in Canada, for the first time, through Vision Travel.

When it comes to corporate travel, travel managers have a challenging job especially when keeping their employees in line with compliance of corporate travel policies. Often employees will use personal credit cards when booking a business trip, offering little to no corporate control over flights, upgrades or other. Reconciliation and compromised cards add to the challenge as well as the risk an employee incurs when they book their travel independently, outside of the protection provided by their companies’ professional travel management provider.

The globalVCard is a virtual card payment system that is integrated with Vision Travel’s management booking software. Each reservation (air, hotel and car) is booked and paid for using a unique virtual card number that becomes invalid after each transaction and provides exact billing. This ensures that each transaction is highly secure and gives travel managers the ability to record each transaction by person, trip and/or event.

The globalVCard also features a mobile app that drives all virtual card and reservation data directly to the traveller’s mobile device. The app also sends a faxed authorization to the front desk prior to arrival automatically.
