Austrian Launches Montreal-Vienna Service

Austrian Airlines has launched new, non-stop service between Vienna, Austria and Montreal.

Flight OS 73 departs Vienna at 10:30 a.m. local time and arrives at Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport at 1:35 p.m. local time. Eastbound flight OS 74 departs Montreal at 6:45 p.m. local time and lands in Vienna at 8.45 a.m. local time the following day.

Daily service will go throughout the summer, followed by five times per week during the winter season.

“We are pleased to feature this additional destination in our North American offering, which complements our dense route network in Central and Eastern Europe. Until the end of the year, we expect to transport approximately 75,000 passengers between Montreal and Vienna,” said Wolfgang Jani, CFO of Austrian Airlines. “Passengers travelling on this new route will be able to experience our elevated service, premium products and culinary options.”

With Austrian’s new gateway in Montreal, Lufthansa Group’s passenger airlines are now fully represented in the region. Montreal-area travellers now have access to the entire Lufthansa Group passenger airlines (Austrian, Lufthansa and SWISS).

Austrian Airlines’ Business Class cabin features state-of-the-art seats that turn into nearly 6.5-feet-long, full flat beds. Business Class passengers also enjoy the airline’s unique “Flying Chef” program where regional and international gourmet delicacies are prepared onboard by professional chefs. Sommeliers are also on-hand to recommend suitable wines to complement the menu. A wide array of coffees provided through Austrian Airlines’ Original Viennese Coffee House Service are also available.

Austrian’s Premium Economy Class provides passengers with plenty of legroom based on seat spacing of up to 38 inches.
