Avalon Adds More Christmas-Themed Cruises for 2017
In the last five years, Avalon Waterways has tripled its Christmas-themed departures, giving more travellers more chances to “delight in the sights, smells and tastes of Central Europe’s Christmas markets” while sailing European waterways via the company’s Suite Ships. Now there’s even more choice for next year.
“In addition to increasing our Christmas cruise departures to cater to the growing popularity of festive cruises, we are also offering travellers more diverse itineraries from which to choose the perfect Christmas cruise,” said Patrick Clark, managing director of Avalon Waterways. “Now, they can experience the Christmas traditions found along the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers. And, in 2017, festive travellers can enjoy five new cruises: Christmastime in Alsace & Germany; Christmas in the Heart of Germany; Christmastime from Prague to Basel; Christmastime from Frankfurt to Vienna and Christmastime from Vienna to Frankfurt.”
Many cruises are offered in late November and early December, allowing passengers to experience multiple magical Christmas markets throughout the cruise – and still be home in time for Christmas.
Travellers booking by June 21 will save 10% on any 2017 Avalon Europe cruise, or for those travelling solo, the single supplement will be waived.
