Avalon to Feature French-Escorted European Cruise

Avalon-July4

Quebec agents have asked and Avalon has listened: next year the company will offer one of its most popular cruises featuring a French-speaking cruise director, and accompanied by Stéphanie Bishop, managing director for Globus family of brands in Canada.

The cruise will be the eight-day Romantic Rhine departing Amsterdam on Oct. 2, 2015. The ship will sail through Holland, Germany and France enroute to Basel, Switzerland, with stops in Cologne, Koblenz, Rüdesheim, Mainz, Heidelberg, Strasbourg, and Breisach, the gateway to the Black Forest.

To help ensure their French-speaking guests feel at home, Avalon will be providing port talks, entertainment and menus in French; plus there will be at least one of the included shore excursions in each port accompanied by a French-speaking local guide.

Quebec-born Bishop, whose first language is French, is looking forward to escorting the cruise and sailing on the sleek Avalon Artistry II. With just 64 cabins – and a crew of 37 – the ship, which was launched in 2013, will be an elegant and stylish hotel afloat.

Prices for this special departure start at $3,119 per person (plus airfare) including all meals, shore excursions, port talks and nightly entertainment, plus wine and beer with dinner. On board facilities include optional light fare bistro meals, a comfortable reading lounge, beautician, rooftop Sky Bistro for al fresco lunches, whirlpool and deck game area. There is free Wi-Fi throughout.

A savings of $500 per person is available on this special departure when booked and deposited prior to Sept. 30, 2014.

Globus family of brands’ business development manager for Quebec Guylaine Michaud ([email protected]) will host a 45-minute webinar about the cruise on July 10 at 10 a.m. To register to participate in the webinar, visit https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/866637330 .
