Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts reaffirmed its commitment to the Canadian market by hosting an entertaining evening in Toronto last week (Nov. 15) to thank the travel agent community and update them on the latest brand news.
The private event was hosted by Bahia Principe’s sales and marketing team.
The evening included a thematic show where each of Bahia Principe’s three brand experiences were presented through skits: Treasure, hotels in unique and off-the-beaten path locations; Escape, signifying adults-only properties; and Family & Friends, hotels that provide a wholesome experience for varying age groups. These three experiences were first launched last year to simplify and help travellers choose their desired vacation.
Dennis Vondenhoff, regional sales director for Caribbean and Mexico for Bahia Principe, and team then gave a presentation focusing on the increase of Canadians travelling to Bahia Principe properties and future brand projects.
“We are doing the most we can to ensure our partners are educated and trained on our brand, focusing on what truly is the Bahia Principe difference. Our travel partners are one of the most important factors in determining our long-term success and that is why we’ve honoured them tonight,” said Vondenhoff.
Five agents were distinguished with Bahia Principe awards to recognize their outstanding sales performance, including a Gold Sales Award which was given to the top-producing agent in Canada.
With the opening of Fantasia Bahia Principe Tenerife in Spain in early November, Bahia Principe officially launched the Fantasia Bahia Principe brand – completing a rebranding of Luxury Bahia Principe Fantasia, now Fantasia Bahia Principe Punta Cana, during the same time frame. Additionally, the brand recently completed a renovation of Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar, also located in Punta Cana.
