Beaches Resorts Receives Corporate Leadership Award
Beaches Resorts was recently honoured at Sesame Workshop’s 16th annual benefit gala.
Adam Stewart, deputy chairman of Sandals Resorts International, accepted the Corporate Leadership Award in recognition of Beaches Resorts’ commitment to making every child feel welcome and safe, whether through autism-friendly kids’ activities or support for families affected by recent hurricanes along with the efforts of the Sandals Foundation, the organization’s philanthropic arm.
Katie Couric hosted the event with Sesame Street Muppets Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and friends at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The evening also included a special performance by New Orleans musician and philanthropist Trombone Shorty.
“I am extremely thankful to accept this award on behalf of Beaches Resorts’ ongoing dedication to make a positive impact on our future generation,” said Stewart. “As a proud sponsor of Sesame Street, Beaches Resorts is honoured to provide an award-winning vacation experience for all children, including families with special needs, by creating engaging and inspiring activities with a trained and certified staff.”
This year’s annual gala theme was Help, Healing, and Hope, coinciding with Sesame Workshop’s goal to continue as an innovative force for change, with a mission to help kids everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder.
