Become an Orlando Travel Expert

Travel agents now have an improved online training resource to help boost their Orlando knowledge and increase sales, while becoming an “Orlando Travel Expert” and gaining exclusive benefits.

The Orlando Travel Academy, the destination’s most comprehensive training tool to date, provides new content on all aspects of Orlando – including what’s new for 2018 and helping agents provide increased value for their customers’ vacation experiences. It is available for the first time in a mobile-friendly version.

“The newest edition of the Orlando Travel Academy brings the Theme Park Capital of the World to life in a way that will help agents’ create one-of-a-kind vacation experiences for their clients that they can’t find anywhere else,” said George Aguel, president and CEO of Visit Orlando. “With languages including English, Spanish, German and Portuguese, agents have a variety of options to stay up-to-date on the most visited destination in the US.”

The Academy, accessible on both desktop and mobile devices, was designed with agents in mind, providing access to Visit Orlando’s comprehensive resource library including vacation planning guides, maps and an events calendar. Each of the seven chapters offers content ranging from what’s new, insider theme park tips and lesser known Orlando attractions/activities, to advice on upselling additional days.

Upon completion of the program, graduates receive the designation of “Certified Orlando Expert,” as well as earn four continuing education credits from The Travel Institute, an organization that provides education programs, professional certifications and customized learning solutions for travel professionals. Graduates also qualify for a variety of exclusive benefits as an Orlando Travel Expert, including: Listing in “Travel Agent Lookup” widget featured on Visit Orlando’s consumer web site (VisitOrlando.com); prizes such as gift cards and discounted hotel stays (vary by market); graduate-only exclusive discounts to Orlando attractions, restaurants and more.
