BermudAir introduces Canadian travel advisor pledge

BermudAir is taking off with a new Advisor Commission Pledge – a long-term commitment reaffirming the airline’s investment in Canadian travel advisors through competitive commissions, dedicated sales support, and educational training such as the Bermuda Specialist program.

The carrier’s pledge reflects its view that travel advisors are essential to the airline’s continued growth in Canada and deserve the airline’s unwavering commitment.

Adam Scott, Founder & CEO, BermudAir, made it clear that: “Travel advisors are not simply a sales channel, they are one of the foundations of our business.”

Scott continued: “While others are reassessing their investment in the trade, we’re strengthening ours. Our Advisor Commission Pledge reflects our confidence in the advisor community and our commitment to growing together.”

BermudAir also offers a special rate of CAD$49 each way for Canadian travel advisors to encourage them to experience its premium leisure product.  Each advisor may also confirm a companion ticket for the same rate.

Under the pledge, BermudAir reaffirms its commitment to:

  • Continue offering standard commissions of 4% on all Economy fare families and 8% on Business Class bookings to Canadian travel agencies, paid at the time of ticketing.
  • Ensure every Canadian travel agency has access to published standard commissions without requiring a preferred agreement.
  • Continue offering enhanced partnership opportunities for agencies seeking to grow their BermudAir business.
  • Invest in dedicated Canadian business development, account management and trade support.
  • Expand advisor education through the Bermuda Specialist Program and BermudAir Holidays training.
  • Continue investing in cooperative marketing, fam trips, advisor promotions and sales incentives.
  • Maintain advisor-friendly booking policies, including one of the industry’s most flexible group travel programs.
  • Expand distribution through Sabre and Amadeus

Nicole Conrad, Business Development Director for Canada, explained that: “Our philosophy is simple. When travel advisors prosper, BermudAir prospers. Every booking deserves to be rewarded, whether it’s an advisor’s first BermudAir reservation or their five-hundredth.”

BermudAir also makes it clear that its investment extends well beyond competitive compensation, providing Canadian advisors with access to:

  • Dedicated Canadian business development support
  • Responsive travel advisor sales assistance
  • Cooperative marketing opportunities
  • Advisor education and destination training
  • Advisor-exclusive promotions and sales incentives
  • FAM trip opportunities
  • Group travel support
  • Comprehensive booking tools through Sabre and Amadeus

As well, BermudAir offers one of the most attractive group travel programs in the market for groups of nine or more passengers. Advisors benefit from guaranteed group fares, a complimentary checked bag (23kg/50lbs) per traveller, in addition to a personal item and carry-on, plus a complimentary standard seat assignment for every passenger.

Group bookings may be requested by emailing [email protected].

As BermudAir continues expanding its Canadian presence, advisors have increasing opportunities to sell:

  • Year-round Toronto–Bermuda service
  • Seasonal winter flights to Turks & Caicos
  • Seasonal winter flights to Anguilla
  • Five flexible fare families
  • BermudAir Holidays packages and experiences

Through BermudAir Holidays, advisors can also earn commission on hotels, vacation packages and destination experiences, creating additional revenue opportunities beyond airfare alone.

Said Scott: “Our commitment to the Canadian travel trade is long term. As BermudAir continues to grow, we’ll continue investing in the partnerships that have helped us succeed from day one.”

The airline actively encourages advisors to complete the Bermuda Specialist Program, helping them build destination expertise while increasing confidence in selling Bermuda, BermudAir and BermudAir Holidays.

Advisors are also invited to join the exclusive BermudAir Travel Advisor Talk private Facebook community, where members receive advance notice of FAM trips, discounted advisor fares, educational webinars, sales incentives, promotions and new route announcements.
