AMResorts’ brand breathless RESORTS & SPAS will this winter open a Montego Bay retreat, the brand’s first venture into a non-Latin destination. breathless Montego Bay is being billed as a resort for “sophisticated singles, couples and friends who want to live big, breathe deep and experience life at its fullest,” and will have what AMResorts says will be “150 ultra-chic and lavish suites with state-of-the-art technology.”
breathless Montego Bay will also have a choice of bars and lounges, a spa and the xhale club, which will offer “personalized check-in and checkout with concierge service,” a private lounge, upgraded room amenities, and daily continental breakfast service and afternoon hors d’eouvres, desserts and “fine liquors served in the lounge.”
The upcoming resort is also promising that guests will find “exhilarating parties, weekly and monthly themed events, and around-the-clock entertainment designed to entice and arouse your senses.”
breathless – which states that it provides “unlimited luxury for the socially sophisticated adult” – already has properties in Punta Cana, Los Cabos and the Riviera Cancun, with Orelbys Vigoa, AMResorts’ business development manager, telling guests at a Wednesday Toronto reception that the properties are aimed at fun-loving adults, and feature the promotional slogan, “Welcome to the party.”
Among breathless offerings are Last Fling packages for those wanting to hold a bachelorette party, and resorts guests may find the likes of an “in-room sensuality kit” and can participate in toga parties.
AMResorts features high-end all-inclusives, with Vigoa telling the Toronto gathering that it has made a number of innovations, such as doing away with the wristbands that are commonly used by all-inclusives to identify guests. “We don’t want you guys to come back with a tattoo on your hand.”
AMResorts now has six brands and 43 resorts in six countries and Vigoa said that figure will rise to 56 resorts in eight countries in 2018.
