Bringing Back The Golden Era Of Travel

Partnering with Tourism Ireland, Luxury Gold hosted about 50 of its top travel advisors at an event in Toronto last night that was designed to recognize their support in a very special way.

On hand to host the event were the Travel Corporation’s chief executive, Brett Tollman; head of travel experiences for Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold, Claire Hanney; president of Insight and Luxury Gold Canada, Brad Ford; Tourism Ireland’s manager, Canada, Dana Welch.

For Ford, the evening was about recognizing the support that travel advisors have given – and continue to give – to Luxury Gold.

He said in an interview with Press Today before the event, that  Luxury Gold saw its Canadian business grow by 22% last year and that trend was continuing in 2019.

As for Ireland, Ford noted that it is a favourite destination of Luxury Gold guests, particularly the company’s Ultimate Ireland itinerary. That 12 day tour features a number of VIP experiences throughout the program.

And some of that experience was created in Toronto last night (Sept. 26) with Tourism Ireland bringing over Michelin Star Irish Chef, JP McMahon to create a special menu for the gathering. Irish music, dancing and more was on the agenda as the Luxury Gold team created one of the company’s special experiences.

Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold’s head of travel experiences, Claire Hanney observed that the evening was about celebrating its partnerships with both Tourism Ireland, along with the travel advisors that support it.

In its 2020 brochure, Luxury Gold features some 50 journeys, adding two new programs – the Art, Culture and Cuisine of Colombia and the Elegance of the Pharoahs.

Stay tuned, there will be more to come from Luxury Gold.
