Brussels Airlines’ customers flying to Canada, the US or Africa now have a choice of three classes – Economy, Business Class and the newly introduced Economy Plus.

To celebrate the launch, the airline will be upgrading 20,000 passengers for free in July and August.

Economy Plus travellers sit in the first four rows of the Economy Class cabin (32 seats in total on Airbus 330 aircraft) and enjoy more leg room and can relax in an Economy seat that reclines 20 degrees instead of eight degrees for optimal comfort. Before their meal, they are treated to a glass of Champagne and luxury items like an amenity kit, a hot towel, a linen pillow and a Neuhaus chocolate gift box.

To travel in Economy Plus, passengers pay a supplement of €120 per one-way. For the launch, a special discovery rate of €99 is now available.

“We see an increasing demand for a product between Business Class and Economy Class. Our new Economy Plus offers more space, more comfort and more amenities at a very attractive price. After implementing our new commercial strategy successfully for short-haul flights, we are now starting to implement a new product generation also on our long-haul flights. More innovations are already in the pipeline,” said Lars Redeligx, chief commercial officer Brussels Airlines.
