Carnival makes a point with agents

Carnival has introduced a variety of new point-earning activities to its Travel Agent Rewards program, which launched in January of this year. Since introducing the program, more than 14,000 agents have enrolled and have redeemed points on more than 800 rewards. Now Carnival has added 22 new point-earning activities to the program, including viewing a new ‘Cruise Rookie’ training video on http://www.GoCCL.com (400 points); registering on http://www.GoCCL.com – both new and existing registrants (500 points); making bookings for Carnival ‘Cruise Rookies’ (750 points per client); finding hidden codes within various Carnival travel agent e-mails, webinars and on http://www.GoCCL.com (50-100 points); and booking select sailings (300 to 600 points). Joni Rein, vice president of worldwide sales for Carnival, said: “We are thrilled with the incredible response we’ve had to the Travel Agent Rewards program in the first six months of its launch and continue to watch it become more and more popular with our partners.” Rein continued: “When launching the program, we promised that we would keep activities dynamic, which is why we’ve introduced these new point-earning activities.” For a current list of current eligible activities, agents can visit http://www.Carnivalagentrewards.com or http://www.GoCCL.com.
