Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and its North American lines have unveiled a bunch of incentives that will make it even more attractive for individual member agents to sell shipboard holidays, reports Montreal editor, Mike Dunbar in this week’s digital edition of Canadian Travel Press.

And the goodies have debuted just in time for Wave Season – the most important period in the cruise sales calendar.

According to CLIA, the incentives form part of a package of new benefits exclusively available to agents who sign up for individual membership for 2015.

An official statement pointed out, “All 26 CLIA North American cruise line members are now offering an unprecedented number of special offers, valued at an estimated $5,000.”

Agents who book passengers on fully 21 of the lines will be earning extra cash via bonus commission payments. The majority have pegged the one-time extra payment at $50, but some companies will be offering more.
