Air France has unveiled plans for a new “boutique” airline for millennials, Joon, which will start operating medium-haul flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle this fall, followed by long-haul flights in summer 2018. Joon is aimed at a young working clientele, millennials (18- to 35-year-olds), whose lifestyles revolve around digital technology. The Air Canada Foundation's sixth annual golf tournament netted over $1,100,000 in support of organizations focused on health and well-being of children in Canada. The tournament was held on July 10 at the Saint Raphaël Golf Club, Québec and featured close to 300 golfers from across North America. WestJet has signed a new multi-year agreement with Amadeus for worldwide distribution including ancillary services. A Perfect Fit
Air Transat has signed an agreement with AerCap for the long-term (12-year) leasing of 10 Airbus A321neo long-range aircraft. The aircraft are to be delivered between spring 2019 and fall 2020, and will replace Transat’s Airbus A310s, which will be gradually retired from the fleet. The A321neo LRs will be deployed on both Sun destinations and transatlantic routes.
