Porter Airlines and New York-based JetBlue Airways have unveiled an extensive interline partnership that will lead to dozens of additional destinations being accessible to Porter passengers.

For the month of September, Air Canada is reporting a system load factor of 84.7%, versus 83.2% in September 2013, representing an increase of 1.5 percentage points on a system-wide capacity increase of 7.3%.
On this additional capacity, system wide traffic for September increased 9.2%. Air Canada reports traffic results on a system-wide basis, including Air Canada rouge and regional airlines from which Air Canada purchases capacity.

WestJet will launch a new service from Calgary to the Islands of Loreto in the Baja peninsula of Mexico, starting on Valentine's Day next year.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) reports global passenger traffic results for August showing a slight pick-up in demand over the previous month.
Total revenue passenger kilometers (RPKs) increased 5.9% compared to August 2013, which was above the 5.4% year-over-year increase recorded in July. August capacity climbed 5.5%. The load factor stood at 83.9% which is a 0.3 percentage point rise over August 2013.

Tourism Ireland is looking for what can only be described as spectacular growth from Canada over the course of the next three years. In a presentation to its key travel trade partners (airlines, tour operators, travel agents and online travel agencies) in Toronto yesterday (Sept. 30), Tourism Ireland's North American boss, Alison Metcalfe reported that the Emerald Isle had seen 13% growth out of Canada through to the end of August 2014 and in its new strategic plan was targeting 47% growth between 2014 and 2016.
