Ottawa Tourism is getting set to officially welcome Le Boat, Europe’s largest operator of self-drive boating vacations, to the Rideau Canal in 2018 as the company’s first destination outside of Europe. Florida's Port Everglades is open with no restrictions, by order of the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port, and is welcoming cruise ships. Three cruise ships arrived on Sept. 12 – Carnival Conquest, Carnival Splendor and Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas. Carnival Cruise Line, and its parent company, Carnival Corporation & plc, and the Micky and Madeleine Arison Family Foundation are pledging a minimum of $2 million to relief and rebuilding efforts in the Gulf Coast region in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
