Crystal CEO to Host Line’s First Holy Land Voyage Since 2012
Crystal chairman and CEO Edie Rodriguez will host the annual “President’s Cruise” in 2017 aboard Crystal Symphony, as the ship sails from Rome to Dubai on Nov. 4. The voyage marks the return of Crystal’s ocean ships to the Holy Land – the last voyage being in 2012 – and Arabian Peninsula, featuring calls to Limassol, Cyprus; Haifa and Ashdod, Israel; transit of the Suez Canal; Aqaba, Jordan; and Salalah and Muscat, Oman. NCL Opens Books On Cuba Sailings
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has opened for sale its 2017 cruises to Cuba aboard Norwegian Sky. NCL is offering a series of five, four-day cruises from Miami to Cuba in May that will include an overnight in the capital of Havana. On May 1, Norwegian Sky will set sail on its first voyage to Havana, arriving on Tuesday morning and staying alongside until Wednesday evening, allowing guests the opportunity to go ashore and experience the island’s rich cultural traditions. See Niagara Falls In A Whole New Light
A long-awaited $4 million energy-efficient illumination system is bringing a wider spectrum of colour and brighter, more dramatic displays to both the Canadian Horseshoe and the American Falls in Niagara. More than 1,400 individual LED luminaires along the Canadian shoreline now replace 21 older Xenon searchlights, doubling the lighting levels and improving visibility. AC Launches Montreal-San Juan Service
Air Canada has inaugurated new non-stop service between Montreal and Puerto Rico. Weekly flights from Montreal to San Juan's Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport will operate through April 22. “This new route from Montreal will make it easier for customers to travel to Puerto Rico from eastern Canada and complements our existing twice-weekly services between Toronto and San Juan. Record Setting Times in NYC
It's been a good year for tourism in New York City (NYC) – record setting, in fact – as the The Big Apple will welcome an all-time record 60.3 million visitors by year’s end, surpassing the 60 million visitor milestone for the first time ever. It is seventh consecutive year of travel and tourism growth for NYC.
