As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting Canada’s hardworking travel trade community, the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) will be making Canadian retail agents feel merry and bright this Yuletide season with two festive engagement initiatives: a ‘12 Days of Jammin’ Christmas’ giveaway and a special-edition Holiday Irie Hour.
The Canadian JTB sales team will be playing Santa Claus from Dec. 3 to Dec. 18 by hosting a series of amazing prize giveaways each day on the Jamaica Tourist Board Canada, Travel Agents Facebook Page.
Throughout the ‘12 Days of Jammin’ Christmas’ contest, Facebook group members will have the chance to win a new round of incredible gifts and goodies each day.
There will be 78 prizes in total up for grabs, including retail gift cards, luggage sets, cozy winter essentials, food and drink baskets, and air seats on an exclusive agent FAM trip to the destination.
Canadian travel agents are also encouraged to tune in to a special holiday edition of the JTB’s weekly Irie Hour on Tues., Dec. 22. The interactive ‘Chill and Chat’ style virtual session will feature an entertaining presentation from the Jamaica Tourist Board BDM team along with some Christmas magic courtesy of guest performers, the Brent & Sarah Magic Comedy Show. Jamaica’s Holiday Irie Hour special airs on December 22 at 2:30 p.m. ET and a recording will be available afterwards for those who cannot attend the live event. Registration is available at visitjamaica.com/Canada/Irie-Hour.
Angella Bennett, regional director, Canada, Jamaica Tourist Board, said: “This has been an unbelievably challenging year for the retail travel industry, which is why it’s important for all of us at the JTB to give back to our community and spread a little holiday cheer among our valued partners.”
Bennett added that: “While we can’t come together in person this holiday season, I encourage Canadian agents to engage with our team in the virtual space throughout the month of December by taking part in our exciting Facebook giveaways and joining in the festive fun during our Holiday Irie Hour.”
