Celebrate With Mont-Sainte-Anne

Quebec ski resort Mont-Sainte-Anne is marking its first half-century this winter and Laurence Hamel of the Quebec City-area hill says those visiting it will quickly become aware of the milestone.

“We have celebrations all year,” she said during a Wednesday event in Toronto. “Come celebrate with us.”

The celebrations will reach a high point on Jan. 16 but Hamel says there will be “special deals” all winter at the huge resort.

Mont-Sainte-Anne is easily able to host die-hard skiers, having the longest season of any ski resort in the East, she said. That season generally runs from mid-November through April.

Hamel says that cross-country skiers will also be in their element at Mont-Sainte-Anne, which has over 200 kms of x-c ski trails “and is the largest cross-country ski centre in Canada,” she said.

Meanwhile, Susan Webb of VoX, which represents Destination Quebec, used the event to praise Quebec as an “incredible destination.”
