Celestyal Kicks Off Aegean Cruise Season

Celestyal Cruises has kicked off its 2017 season in the Aegean, embarking on the classic Iconic Aegean itinerary on March 10, starting the new Euphoric Aegean itinerary April 14 to June 30, and Sept. 8 to Oct. 27, and the Idyllic Aegean itinerary June 30 to Sept. 1.

Celestyal Cruises’ new Euphoric Aegean itineraries are three-, four- and seven-day cruises to the region’s classic, ancient cities and legendary harbours. Calls include Cesme, Chania, Izmir, Lavrion, Mykonos, Nafplion, Rhodes and Santorini. Celestyal Olympia will be replacing Celestyal Nefeli on the Iconic itineraries as of April 14.

According to officials, high points of Celestyal’s cruises are the destinations themselves, including new Mediterranean destinations such as Samos on the Iconic Aegean itineraries and Chania (Crete) and Nafplion (Peloponnese) on the Euphoric Aegean itineraries. The addition of Samos gives passengers the option of either adding an extra Greek island to their cruise or disembarking in Kusadasi, Turkey, near Ancient Ephesus.

Celestyal’s new Aegean season also includes the 2017 launch of the Celestyal “Inclusive Experience,” providing passengers with full board accommodation featuring Greek gastronomy, a select number of shore excursions at all destinations, an onboard entertainment program and unlimited consumption drink packages featuring premium brands, “all at the industry’s best value price.”

As for themed cruises, the company will host 44 this season. For the second consecutive year, Celestyal presents Celestyal Stories of Greek Hospitality. The company has revitalized its entire onboard cruise experience, and the 2017 themed cruise season, divided into two sections, will include: Stories of Greek Heritage: Culture and Enogastronomy (March – May, September – November) – Lyceum Club of Greek Women, Greek Cuisine Demonstrations, Greek Olive Oil, Greek Wine; Stories of Greek Summer Festival (June – August) – Greek Music, Traditional Greek Music (with Thanasis Polykandriotis), Science Festival, Full Moon Party.
