Choice Expands to Guyana
The Ascend Hotel Collection from Choice Hotels International is expanding in the Caribbean growth with the addition of the 25-room Opus Hotel in Georgetown, Guyana, on the coast of South America.
The Opus is the 12th hotel in Choice Hotels’ Caribbean portfolio.
The Opus Hotel is situated in a prime location in Stabroek, located in central Georgetown, near several regional and international development organizations. The hotel offers easy access to the area’s art and craft museums, popular restaurants, nightlife and numerous cultural heritage sites, including the Monument of Queen Victoria and St. George’s Cathedral.
The hotel features 23 standard guest rooms and two executive rooms, complete with hardwood floors and jetted tubs. The hotel also offers a restaurant and bar, small meeting room facilities, complimentary parking and WiFi.
Adding a twist to Choice’s signature free hot breakfast, The Opus Hotel will also serve local favourites such as saltfish, metagee, pepperpot, cook-up rice and a variety of Caribbean curry dishes.
