Club Med Heats Up Toronto

Those looking to escape winter can head to Yonge-Dundas Square today (Feb. 15) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as Club Med rolls into town for day 2 of a pop-up truck display complete with a beach scene.

“People will experience an ephemeral resort of Club Med,” says Julien Laurent, marketing, communication and press specialist, Canada for Club Med. “There will be two actors playing vacationers, you’ll be able to have some juices, some pastries, and it’s warm inside the truck so it makes you feel like you’re in a vacation at Club Med right in the middle of winter in Canada. We want them to experience a warm vacation.”

Those who visit the display will be given hand warmers with an activation code to win a trip to a Club Med resort.

“We will also present the Virtual Reality experience to the people, featuring Punta Cana, Cancun, there’s some Asian destination and ski destinations, as Club Med has 20 resorts in the Alps,” he adds. “We started the street activation last year in Montreal and we wanted to repeat it in Toronto as the Club Med brand is doing more activation in Toronto for the Ontario market. We want to get the brand more known in the Canadian market.”
