Collette Launches Advanced Commission Program

Collette has introduced a new Advanced Commission Program for travel advisors to start earning commission as soon as the deposits are received.

“At Collette, we feel a strong sense of responsibility for helping the travel & tourism industry get back on its feet, and our travel advisor partners truly are the heartbeat of this industry,” Jeff Roy, Executive Vice President for Collette, tells PressToday. “As such, Collette announced that effective on September 9th, we will begin offering advanced commission payments to travel advisors for newly deposited retail bookings created now through December 31, 2021 for travel beginning in May 2021 and beyond (including Oberammergau 2022).”

These advanced commissions will be paid in three flat rate tiers:

  • $100 per booking for land-only
  • $125 per booking for land & air
  • $200 per booking for any booking that includes Collette’s Travel Protection.

“These commission advances will be deducted from final post-travel commission payouts,” Roy says. “With such limited travel opportunity presently and the industry norm being that travel advisors do not make a commission until after travel, we feel that this is the right thing to do to begin paying our travel advisor partners today for the work they’re doing to re-build business for the future.”

In addition, Collette will not recall the commissions in the event of a client cancellation after deposit.

“We understand that there is significant work that goes into cultivating business and generating a booking in the first place,” Roy notes. “Ultimately, healthy travel advisor partners will ensure a healthy travel industry.”
