Collette says ‘thanks’ to travel advisors
It was a sunny and warm May evening as the Collette team welcomed 60 of their travel advisor partners at Toronto’s Hotel X for an evening of appreciation.
Collette’s vice president, Ron Lonsdale told Travel Press Today (TPT) that the evening was about “taking the time to recognize agents” and to “reinforce how Collette is investing in supporting them” – providing them with tools and programs that are designed to make them more efficient and, in the process, more successful.
It was a relaxed evening as advisors gathered in The View – an events space on the hotel’s 28th floor – enjoying the breathtaking vista of Toronto’s harbour to the south and the rapidly growing city to the north.
Along with the traditional clinking of glasses, tasty hors d’oeuvres and animated conversation, those attending had a chance to play Collette’s Travel Advisor Bingo.
Advisors had to find someone in the room to match the clues on the game board and get them to initial the appropriate square.
Some of the questions included:
- Has been in the travel industry for over 10 years
- Has a favourite travel memory involving food
- Has a bucket list destination they haven’t visited yet
- Has been to all 7 continents
- Has a favourite travel quote
Kelsie Marchetti, Collette’s virtual events & training manager, told the gathering that the company is holding these events to show advisors “how grateful we are.” Marchetti said the company’s message to its advisor partners is: “We hnour your partnership. You turn wanderlust into reality. You turn dreams into memories.”
