Condor Airlines Returns To Toronto

Condor Airlines returned to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) on May 2 with year-round, non-stop Frankfurt route from Toronto (YYZ), operating four times per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

All flights to and from Frankfurt are operated on Boeing 767-300 equipment and feature three classes of service (Economy, Premium and Business).

From its Frankfurt hub, Condor offers connecting service to more than 100 destinations throughout Europe via Condor and a network of airline and rail partners including Lufthansa, SAS, Aegean Airlines and more.

Easy connections in Frankfurt can be made to such popular European vacation destinations as Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Athens, Zurich, Geneva, Split, Hamburg, Berlin, Seville and Budapest.

Mathias Friess, vice president and area manager, North America, said that: “Due to the pandemic, travel to Europe from Canada was only accessible to a limited extent over the past two years.  As a result, we are seeing an increasing amount of pent-up demand from Canadians who are now eager to visit Europe.”

Fiess continued: “Condor Airlines is pleased to return to Toronto and provide travelers from the region with a more affordable way to get to Europe.  We are also thrilled following a pause during the pandemic to now return to year-round service.”

In addition to a value-oriented Economy class product, Condor also offers Business Class and Premium Economy classes of service. As more leisure travelers are looking to splurge on their vacation after not traveling for so long, premium classes with fares that are up to 50% less than the legacy airlines are sure to be popular with Canadians.

Condor’s Business Class features lie-flat seats, a personal in-seat, premium touch-screen entertainment system, power ports at every seat and exquisite and delicious premium menus with complimentary non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. In addition, special menus for children as well as vegetarian, vegan and lactose or gluten-free meals are available.  Business Class passengers also have access to priority check-in and lounge access. Premium Class features seats with added legroom, leg rests and adjustable headrests, a premium in-flight, in-seat entertainment system with an extended program, USB ports at every seat, premium meals and complimentary beverages.
