Contiki Adds Bolivia, Chile to Latin America Program

Contiki has launched its new Latin America 2018/19 program highlighted by the addition of two new destinations – Bolivia and Chile, and the addition of six new trips and departure dates through to 2019.

With small groups, local guides and private included transport, Contiki continues to increase their footprint in a region frequented by young Canadians. The three new trips that journey into Bolivia are “Bella Bolivia,” “Bolivian Magic” and the “Andean Crossing.” To help spur wanderlust into reality, clients who book and pay in full by Aug. 1 will be able to save 10% as part of Contiki’s Early Discount Payment.

“Bolivia is a natural next step for us,” says Sheralyn Berry, vice-president of sales of Contiki Holidays Canada. “It’s an incredible destination that provides unforgettable experiences for our travellers – whether they’re after cities, culture or out-of-this world landscapes and scenery. With Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil all sharing borders with Bolivia it’s a great connector for our other trips, allowing travellers to extend their journeys throughout the region.”

These trips will also experience the stark beauty of the Atacama Desert in Chile, and the colonial charm of Salta in northern Argentina.

Building on the success of Contiki’s “Limited Edition Series” in Europe and North America, Contiki will be bringing the food-focused trip to Central America with “Munch Mexico.”

The final additions to the program will be two new trips created in continued partnership with ME to WE, the Canadian-bred social enterprise that seeks to inspire people to make the world a better place, empowering travellers to give back to local communities in remote Ecuador. The “Lava Line” and “Ecuador and Galapagos Island Hopper” trips will both feature dedicated departures that will include three days working with ME to WE at their project deep in the Amazon jungle, accessible only by boat.
