Contiki Goes In-Depth Into Asia in 2018

With the launch of its new 2018 Asia program, Contiki has added a new 10-day “In-Depth Discoverer” trip to India entitled, Southern Spice, as well as an improved China Adventure and Big Indochina itineraries.

To help agents entice their clients to experience Asia, clients can save up to $580 or 10% when they book and pay in full by Nov. 30 on trips departing on or after April 1, 2018.

Contiki’s new 2018 Asia program continues to offer four unique accommodation styles including central hotels, beach-side resorts and unique “Special Stays” such as jungle tree houses and floating raft bungalows in Khao Sok National Park. In addition, an authentic Asian travel experience is guaranteed with bullet trains, rickshaws, junk boats and tuk-tuks to travel around in, while knowledgeable trip managers, experienced drivers and a network of highly trained local guides ensure clients are in the best possible hands.

Featured in the 2018 Asia program are:

  • Southern Spice. The new itinerary takes clients from Chennai through Pondicherry, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Periyar, Kumbakonam, Kerala Backwaters and Cochin over 10 cultural-filled days. Guests can expect to be treated to a seamless, hassle free travel experience with 15 meals included, twin-shares throughout and a special stay in a Contiki exclusive overnight house boat on the Kerala Backwaters. Exciting No Regrets Experiences to tick off clients’ bucket lists include a Martial Arts Performance in Kalaripayattu and a Rickshaw ride to Meenakshi Temple in Madurai; while included visits to a spice plantation, tea factory, silk weavers home and bronze casting school ensure Contiki travellers are fully enriched by the colourful Indian culture.
  • China Adventure. The newly improved China Adventure itinerary includes an added stop in Chengdu where a visit to a panda sanctuary is a No Regrets Experience, as well as a Me Time Optional evening activity to a Sichuan Cooking Class. The 12-day “In-Depth Explorer” trip takes travellers through modern cities and ancient ruins across Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Yangshuo and now ends in Shanghai instead of Hong Kong.
  • Big Indochina. The 27-day “Discoverer” trip spans across four countries with an added No Regrets Experience to the Haven Sai Yok Elephant sanctuary in Kanchanaburi. The trip addition contributes funds towards the well-being of elephants, continuing Contiki Cares powered by the TreadRight Foundation partnership efforts to protect the animals that make Contiki’s travel experiences so extraordinary. Continued trip experiences include a bike tour of Ayutthaya and a locally guided tour into the depth of the Củ Chi tunnels in Vietnam.
