Contiki Launches Revamped South Pacific Program

Contiki-Jan16

Contiki has introduced its 2017-18 South Pacific program, highlighted by “No Regrets Experiences” and unique tours to Australia and New Zealand.

The new program features 22 itineraries, with a new trip taking place during New Year’s Eve in New Zealand, across two countries with six ways to travel. From outback adventures to beautiful beach and reef trips, the new product leverages Contiki’s “know how” to offer young travellers experiences and adventures with No Regrets, and most importantly, an unrivalled price point.

Encouraging young travellers to discover the South Pacific route, clients who book and pay in full by April 11 will be able to save 7.5% as part of the brand’s “Early Payment Discount.” In addition, clients who book trips to both Australia and New Zealand at the same time will receive an additional 5% off.

“The South Pacific region is one of the most popular destinations for young Canadians, given its year-round tropical weather,” says Sheralyn Berry, director of sales for Contiki Canada. “We’re excited to introduce our most robust Australia and New Zealand product yet, and delighted to offer clients an opportunity to explore both countries at the same time with this new booking promotion. Two South Pacific based adventures really are better than one! With this much adventure packed into one vacation, we’re certain that millennial explorers will be left with #NOREGRETS.”

New for 2017 is an entirely new itinerary for Contiki’s New Zealand program. Its’ seven-day “Rhythm & Alps” trip will take place during one of the biggest New Year’s festivals in Middle-earth’s South Island that attracts more than 5,000 revellers, and 150 acts including top international performances such as Akil The MC, K Lab, Sachi and Young TAPZ. This is a festival trip operating during the New Year’s Eve festival with a limited one-time departure on Dec. 28, with guests staying three nights in lodges and three nights “glamping” in luxury camping accommodation.

In addition to the new itinerary, some of Contiki’s New Zealand trips have been amended for 2017 and include The Big Tiki, Kiwiana Panorama, Sun & Steam, Northern Choice and Jaffas ‘n’ Jandals. The itineraries have changed in the North Island to remove Waitomo as a destination, and instead adding in a new destination, Mount Ruapehu, and a new overnight Special Stay at the Kings Hotel.

Within the Australian trips, adjustments include the Big Walkabout, City to Surf, Beaches & Reefs, Reefs & Rainforest, and Sunsets & Surf. These changes now allow for almost another full day in Byron Bay, ranked number four on Contiki’s “The No Regrets List” as the top bucket list experience for 2017 among young Canadians.
