Contiki has unveiled its South Pacific trip collection for 2015-2016, categorized under five travel styles throughout Australia and New Zealand.

South Pacific adventures harken back to Contiki’s heart-warming beginnings down under, founded by New Zealander John Anderson in 1962. Anderson first ran trips through Europe and finally returned to the South Pacific where he married his wife, former Contiki passenger, Alison, before pioneering Contiki’s Australia and New Zealand trip offerings.

Brad Ford, president of Contiki Canada, observed: “Australia is a #1 bucket list destination for many Canadian millennials and one of the 15 most popular countries visited by Canadians. In 2012, 159,000 Canadian travellers visited the land down under and spent a total of 3,803 nights and $329 million dollars. Contiki’s unique legacy in the South Pacific and strong ground operations team today means we deliver trips that match travellers’ imaginations and surpass expectations – which are plentiful – at a price within their budget.”

New in 2015-2016 is Contiki’s “Fire ‘n’ Ice” trip in New Zealand which features the volcanoes of Auckland and the skiing hotspot of Queenstown.

Other programs highlighted by Contiki include the 25-day Big Walkabout, the 12-day Sunsets & Surf, 11-day Outback Adventurer, the 10-day Sun Seeker, the 16-day Kiwiana Panorama, the 9-day Sweet As South and the 10-day Northern Choice.
