Contiki Unveils Expanded Summer Europe Program

Contiki has unveiled its highly anticipated Europe Summer 2018/19 program, highlighted by an increased emphasis on its culinary offerings through its partnership with social eating platform VizEat, 26 new trips and its first foray into river cruising with the launch of U by Uniworld.

Summer in Europe for 2018 will also see the unveiling of a new travel style that will be called, Independent Insider. The new type of travel has been designed for freedom and replaces the current “Easy Pace” style. In addition, the youth travel brand continues with its Limited Edition Series trips, Boutique Local and Munch that will take young Canadians even further into the cultures of each destination.

In a move that will allow more time for young clients to book their next European adventures, Contiki will extend its “Early Payment Discount” program by an extra month. Now until Feb. 21, 2018, travellers who book and pay in full can save up to $895 or 10% off. In addition, a further 5% off (the lower cost trip) with the brand’s new “Mix & Match” program where travellers can “mix and match” a selection of two Contiki trips seven days or longer. Clients who also want to travel as a “pack” or “girl squad” can save 10% off when 10 or more guests book together (or the 11th person goes free); 7.5% with seven or more; 5% with four or more.

The highly anticipated new trip style comes with a new partnership as Contiki join forces with authentic social eating experience company VizEat. VizEat provides Contiki Independent Insider trips with a local dining experience as travellers have the opportunity to dine and socialize in the homes of locals, proving Contiki’s continuation of offering unique experiences.

New for Contiki’s In-Depth Explorer program are the 10-day The Best of Britain and the 11-night Fiestas & Siestas itinerary featuring Spain and Portugal.

Also new, Contiki is selling U by Uniworld by sister company Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection. Designed for travellers between the ages of 21-45, U by Uniworld gives millennials an innovative, affordable take on river cruising, with sunrise yoga on deck, bikes on board, expert cocktail mixology classes and DJ’s on deck. Travellers can select from four eight-day itineraries along the Rhine, Main, Danube and Seine rivers.
