Contiki unveils newest Latin America program

Contiki has launched its new Latin America brochure for 2012-2014, including Costa Rica and the Galapagos as new destinations. Building off of its inaugural venture into South America last year, the new brochure features almost double the departure dates and new inclusions, as well as a number of new accommodations and special stays. The 11-day Galapagos & Ecuador trip is expected to be one of the brochure’s most popular itineraries, heading to one of Contiki’s new destinations and featuring an impressive number of inclusions, plus flights to and from the islands. On the 12-day Costa Rica Unplugged, travellers uncover the natural beauty of the country from jungles and rainforests to volcanoes to incredible beaches. The tour begins and ends in San Jose, stopping off at Costa Rica’s most magical spots in between with two of Contiki’s exclusive special stays. In Tortuguero, clients will crash at the Jungle Lodge, a rainforest eco-tourism lodge located in the Tortuguero National Park. The next night spent in Sarapiqui, Contiki travellers sleep at the Rainforest Lodge where they’ll take a night walk through the jungle before feasting on Costa Rican BBQ. “We introduced our South America trips in 2011 and had an overwhelming amount of bookings, which is why we’ve significantly increased the number of departure dates for 2012-2014,”says Brad Ford, president of Contiki Canada. “We’re so excited about our new trips to the Galapagos/Ecuador and Costa Rica, which have so many included highlights. These trips truly let clients get into the heart of their destination and experience the natural beauty of these places in a way they can’t with other travel companies.”Clients looking to travel between now and Dec. 31, 2013 can save $200 on any of Contiki’s Latin American tours 10 days of longer by booking any time up until June 24.
