Croatia Among Transat’s New Europe Program


Transat kicked off its Europe season in Toronto last night (Jan. 20) with a trade VIP night where guests received copies of the tour operator’s new brochure, featuring 28 direct flight destinations and more than 300 package holidays, including new destination Croatia.

Transat’s commercial director Nicole Bursey told guests that 2015 was one of the best ever for Transat’s Europe program with double digit growth, and that hopes remain high for this year as well.

Bursey (pictured right, with Transat’s Denise Heffron) noted that the new brochure, which follows the previously recently Guided Tours brochure, has been redesigned for ease of use by both travel agents and their clients and features staff recommendations, particularly for families and budget travellers who might be inclined to feel Europe is too pricey for them.

It also includes a host of a la carte options including flights, accommodations, rail and car rentals. Cruises with 14 cruise lines are detailed in a separate brochure. Early booking bonuses are available through March 31.

“We know you’re busy with sun right now, and we want you to be busy with sun right now,” Bursey laughed, “but perhaps between the hours of 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. you can be busy with your marketing plans for Europe.”
