Cruise Strategies Ltd. has announced a new partnership with PONANT, Cultural Cruises & Expeditions, a leader in luxury expedition cruises.
PONANT specializes in five-star luxury cruises and expeditions in more than 80 countries, touching all seven continents and represents a new era in small-ship educational travel by combining specially crafted inclusive itineraries and themed voyages with a fleet of purpose-built, small luxury cruise ships. The cruise line’s latest, Le Lyrial, will launch later this month.
Accommodating fewer than 264 guests, Ponant ships are small enough to maintain the intimate ambiance of a private yacht, but large enough to provide all of the services and amenities that discerning travellers have come to expect. The size of the ships allows Ponant’s guests to visit ports and places that are not accessible to larger cruise ships.
Ponant offers a range of voyages to every corner of the globe, each with a program of lectures and excursions carefully designed to include world-class scholars, scientists, authors and performing artists to enrich the guest’s appreciation of the destination. Pricing is inclusive of all meals, open bar, gratuities, (expedition cruises include shore excursions via Zodiacs) and port fees and taxes.
Cruise Strategies’ sales and marketing team will provide support to their broad network of retail travel agencies throughout Canada for Ponant and initially in English-speaking Canada only (excluding Quebec). Services include extensive sales and product training, support for group opportunities and group travel, webinars, promotional opportunities, co-operative ad campaigns and cruise and client event presentations as well as public relations and communications.
