David Foster event changes venue

The Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria, which had been planning to open in late May with a special David Foster concert package, has announced it won’t be ready in time for the event. As such, the special David Foster private concert and associated celebrity mixer events on the weekend of May 25-27 will be moved to the Fairmont Empress hotel. “After spending the past six years shaping what’s set to be one of Canada’s most luxurious and sought-after destination hotels, rushing through the final – and perhaps most important – stage to meet the deadline seemed counterintuitive,”said Kevin Walker, owner of the hotel. Aside from the venue change, there will be no other changes to the package, which include a full concert on May 26 at Victoria’s Memorial Centre.
