‘Days of Wine and Whisky’ Await Barge Guests

Following a record year in 2019, luxury hotel barge cruising specialist European Waterways is looking to continue its success into 2020 by offering up to 20% off on cabin and charter prices on select cruises in France, Italy and Scotland.

It’s a unique opportunity for travellers to enjoy the world-renowned wines featured in its French and Italian cruises, as well as the famed Scottish whiskies enjoyed by guests aboard its hotel barges in the Scottish Highlands. The specials are applicable to select departures and represent savings of up to $17,000 per charter and $3,220 per cabin, based on double occupancy. They are available when booked by Feb. 17.

“Our all-inclusive cruises feature superb regional wines paired with exceptional gastronomic meals every day, along with exclusive, experiential excursions that immerse travellers in the historical and culinary traditions of the region,” said Derek Banks, managing director of European Waterways. “Every cruise is a once-in-a-lifetime experience – or two- and three-times-in-a-lifetime, judging by the many repeat clients we get.”

Fourteen European Waterways vessels are participating in the special offer. Among them is the eight-passenger Rosa, which cruises Gascony and Bordeaux; the eight-passenger L’Art de Vivre on the Lower Nivernais Canal and the River Yonne in Burgundy, France; and the eight-passenger Scottish Highlander, which cruises the Caledonian Canal in the Scottish Highlands.
