Delta Air Lines and WestJet officials are working on a joint frequent flyer program, one that could be introduced as soon as next year.

Speaking at an Air France KLM event last night (Oct. 9) in Toronto, Delta Air Lines’ Adeline Piekham-Hsieh, general manager, sales, Canada, said a joint frequent flyer deal is in the planning stages and could be introduced as soon as 2015.

WestJet and Delta launched an interline partnership in 2011, allowing WestJet passengers to easily connect with flights within Atlanta-based Delta’s route network.
