Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts will welcome its first Dhawa in Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba, on Dec. 15.
Located in Cayo Santa Maria, the 516-room Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria will be the first and only all-inclusive lifestyle resort with a private beach in the area.
Room categories include 246 Superior Rooms, 122 Deluxe Ocean View Rooms, 120 Premium Ocean Front View Rooms, 16 Junior Ocean Front View Suites and 12 Premium Ocean Front View Suites.
Other amenities include five restaurants (including French and Italian) and four bars, two swimming pools, fitness centre, Kids Club and a 545-seat theatre with complimentary daily “live” entertainment.
There are also two tennis courts and a basketball court are available for use. Guests can also take part in a variety of complimentary beach and pool activities, including aqua-aerobics, dance classes, beach volleyball and kayaking.
Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria also offers environmental conservation activities with a focus on caring for flamingo birds who gather near a small lake by the hotel’s Fuego Del Mar restaurant. This is aligned to the Group’s emphasis of placing sustainable tourism at the heart of everything it does.
Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria is the first of four hotels in Cuba by the Group and marks Banyan Tree’s second venture into Latin America after two successful hotel openings in Mexico.
