European Waterways, Europe’s largest luxury hotel barge cruising company, reports that a growing number of its charters are being booked for family vacations and by multi-generational groups celebrating special anniversaries, birthdays, and other milestones.
The company attributes this to the intimate atmosphere that provides privacy, a relaxed pace, and a customizable itinerary that “ensures a memorable and active vacation for every generation.”
As well, whole-boat charters offer cost savings over individual cabin prices. European Waterways recognizes that many families plan and book their vacations up to a year in advance, so the company is offering lower, “value season” pricing for those booking cruises for July and August 2016. However, last-minute specials are still available this year with up to $15,000 off the charter price on some departures.
