The Lake Placid region of New York – which once hosted the Winter Olympics – has created a new promotion to entice Canadians to cross the border through March.

The “Better Than Par” promotion has ski and stay deals and discounts from local hotels and resorts — with some of the rates starting at US$99 p.p. with lift tickets.

Among specific offers is one by the Courtyard by Marriott Lake Placid. It’s Ski ‘N Stay Package starts at US$119 p.p. and includes accommodations, complimentary breakfast, and lift tickets for two adults daily. The destination is a few hours from Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto.
