Home Digital Extra post Hong Kong, Taiwan promote holiday corridor

Suppliers who support travel to Hong Kong and Taiwan assembled at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia last week to meet travel agents, tour operators and media.

Trade show presenters included airlines Air Canada, Cathay Pacific, EVA Airways, China Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines.

Tourism executives from both destinations described how their recent partnership is giving North American travellers the opportunity to expand their experiential horizons in Asia. That is, the close proximity between the two islands has long provided a convenient getaway corridor for locals, but that routing is now being promoted to an international audience. Hence the two-destination showcase in Vancouver.

Pictured, representing Hong Kong Airlines, the latest airline to offer services to Asia from Canada with flights starting from Vancouver on June 30, are (l-r) Gretl Chow, Sandra Cornish and Winnie Chen.
