In the name of fun and education, Hurtigruten is offering a complimentary Young Explorers Program for children travelling with adults on Antarctica Discovery Style voyages aboard the MS Midnatsol between Nov. 2016 and March 2017.

The program encourages young travellers (best suited for those ages 7-11) to learn more about the environments they encounter through age-appropriate field research, games, re-enactments and lectures.

Opportunities to assist the Expedition Team are an important part of the program, giving kids hand-on experiences and the chance to learn about the rigours of exploration. Each young explorer will receive a field note workbook containing chapters focusing on science, polar history, photography and nautical studies.

Participants earn one stamp with each completed lesson; those who complete the whole workbook earn a prize and an official certificate.
