West-Leavenworth

The town of Leavenworth, Washington, south of BC, has become famous as a Bavarian wonderland in the Cascades mountain range.

Over half a million lights bring a holiday sparkle to Washington’s Bavarian Village during the first three weekends of December. More than 25,000 visitors come for each Christmas Lighting Festival weekend, taking in live music shows and the arrival of Santa in a horse drawn carriage.

There are also guided winter wonderland nature walks, dog sled rides and a Living Nativity to name some.
