Home Digital Extra post New AC routes get festive welcome in Vancouver

Air Canada executive staff, industry partners and clients recently gathered in Vancouver to welcome a host of new routes that will soon take flight from YVR.

They did so at a route launch celebration in the Waterview event space on the shores of Vancouver’s False Creek. There, they enjoyed Japanese culinary bites and watched a dance performance to mark the start of new flights to Nagoya from YVR. These will operate up to four times per week, from June to October on Air Canada Rouge.

There were other Vancouver service previews on AC, including year-round daily flights to Taipei starting in June with Air Canada; a seasonal summer service to London, Gatwick from June to October with Rouge; and a seasonal summer service to Frankfurt from June to October. New flights from YVR to Dallas and Denver were also welcomed.

Also, one travel professional in attendance won a prize draw for a flight to Nagoya. Michael Work (c), business development manager for American Express Global Business Travel, took home the prize. Presenting it to him was Bonnie Walker, director of sales for Western Canada, and John Macleod, VP of commercial strategy.
