Royal Scenic and EvaAir are hosting a Nov. 3-10 “Romance & Soft Adventure Thailand” fam that’s part of Royal Scenic’s Certified Asia Specialist pro-gram. The trip includes a Khao Sok/Elephant Hill jungle experience, a visit to Phuket, where canoeing will be offered, and a tour of Bangkok. Those interested must RSVP by Sept. 30. The cost from Toronto for a CAS graduate is $699, while CAS candidates will pay $799. Those who aren’t part of the CAS program pay $899. Taxes are $250. Rates cover accommodation, airport-hotel transfers, airfare, transportation, and an English-speaking guide. Discounted airfare is available from major cities other than Toronto. TUNISIA
Nov. 6-12
The National Tunisian Tourism board, in partnership with ACTA and Air France, is inviting agents to take part in a fam trip to Tunisia. The trip, from Nov. 6-12, includes international air with Air France from Montreal, bus transportation, four-star hotel accommodation (double occupancy), all meals, French local guide and entrance fees. Highlights include Tunis visits of Gammarth, Carthage and Sidi Bou Said, Kairouan, the Grande mosque and the Medina of Tozeur. The cost is $815 for ACTA members, $915 for non-members. JAMAICA
November dates
The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) in Canada has announced its upcoming familiarization tours for Canadian travel agents. Agents are invited to apply now for the tour departing from their closest major city. Fams are scheduled during November and will high-light Jamaica’s resort areas of Negril, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. The trips are a great opportunity for agents to be updated on product development, as well as obtain the tools to better sell “Destination Jamaica” to their clients. Fams depart via WestJet as follows: Nov. 9-16, $499; Calgary/Edmonton area, Nov. 23-30, $499. Overnight hotel in Toronto (if required) will be the responsibility of the agent. Application deadline is 15 days prior to departure. Contiki
Winter Europe Fam

Agents are invited to discover Europe this winter with Contiki as the tour operator hosts an open-age “action-packed, experiential fam into the beautiful cities of Munich, Vienna and Budapest.” Agents have to fill out an application form along with 100 words on how they will increase their Contiki sales after completing the fam. The deadline is Oct. 15. The land portion of the trip is free to all participants, with international airfare at their own expense.

JORDAN
Goway ‘Ultimate Fam’

Goway has announced the destination for its fifth annual “Ultimate Fam” trip for 2015. Ten lucky agents will win a place on a seven-day trip to Jordan. Goway has partnered with the Jordan Tourism Board to put together this prestigious trip. Participants will experience the multi-dimensional aspects of Jordan – an ancient land steeped in Arabic, Roman and Biblical history. The trip includes roundtrip airfare from New York to Amman, six nights deluxe accommodation, breakfast daily, most dinners, and all sightseeing. To qualify, agents need to have completed the Jordan Tourism expert course and made at least one booking with Goway. Every additional booking earns an extra entry. If the booking is to Jordan, it counts as two entries.
